Baptisms are conducted during regular Sunday morning worship. Please contact the church office for available dates.
Weddings
We welcome inquiries from church members and non-members alike. Weddings are scheduled in coordination with the calendars of the church and the pastor. Contact the church office to inquire if your date and time are available. We also offer function rooms of various sizes and a large kitchen with commercial ovens if you wish to hold your reception on premises.
Funerals and Memorials
Usually the funeral director contacts the pastor and church to arrange date and time for a service and whether it is to be held at the funeral home, the church, or another location. Occasionally family members make those arrangements by calling the pastor. Such arrangements should always be confirmed with the funeral director. Our pastor meets with the family to talk together about the person who has died and about what will be included in the service. Every effort is made to make the funeral or memorial service personal.
In cases where the person who has died is part of an interfaith family, the pastor exercises great sensitivity with regard to non-Christian family members. She has also on occasion conducted funerals or memorial services for persons of other faiths, and she seeks to incorporate elements that will be meaningful in that context. However, those wishing a “non-religious” service should seek a non-denominational officiant.
